    Camera

The Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro share the same rear camera specs, as well the same A16 Bionic processor, so as expected, the results of the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max camera are exactly the same as those of the iPhone14 Pro.

We’ve included a few examples from our testing to show the similarities between these two models. But for a more in-depth look at the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s rear camera photo and video performance, we direct you to the full test results of the iPhone 14 Pro.

    Display

All iPhone 14 Pro models this year are expected to be powered by a new A16 Bionic chipset which promises superior performance and more efficient power usage.

While it’s built using the same 5nm process as the A15 chip, there are talks of Apple adding another core to the A16's GPU. This could potentially give graphics performance a boost.

As for RAM, the iPhone 14 Pro Max gets an upgrade to 8GB of RAM. It’s also possible that the chipset could rely on faster LPDDR5 memory for increased performance as well.

    Battery Life and Charging

As we know, the battery capacity of the iPhone is revealed only after the phones have gone on sale.

However, judging by the size of the iPhone 14 Plus, it’s going to have a battery at least as large as the one found in the iPhone 13 Pro Max. This could guarantee a minimum of 4352 mAh. It could also guarantee 7.5W Qi magnetic fast wireless charging.

Hand in hand with the most efficient chipset, the iPhone 14 Pro Max could perhaps break the battery life record of its predecessor.

    Price

The iPhone 14 Pro Max comes at the following prices depending on the storage capacity:

    • • 128 GB - $1,099
    • • 256 GB - $1,199
    • • 512 GB - $1,399
    • • 1 TB - $1,599

    Color

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max come in these colors:

    • Gold
    • Silver
    • Space Black
    • Deep Purple

The iPhone 14, on the other hand, come in the following colors:

    • Blue
    • Purple
    • Midnight
    • Starlight
    • Product(Red)

Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max vs. iPhone 13 Pro Max

First, let’s compare the new 14 Pro Max to the most recent equivalent phone, the 13 Pro Max. What’s the difference between the 14 Pro Max and the iPhone 13 Pro Max?

Basically, not too much when you compare the two phones side-by-side. If you just look at specifications, there's not much difference in terms of performance or design.

The two biggest areas of improvement from the iPhone 13 Pro Max to the iPhone 14 Pro Max can be seen in the A16 Bionic chip and the camera upgrade.

However, slight changes in price and other areas do make this release something to look into if you're interested in upgrading your current phone.

    Price

When it comes to iPhone 13 vs. 14, the biggest difference in the Pro Max version in terms of price is that $100 price hike.

It is very likely that you will have to pay more for the iPhone 14 Pro Max than you would have paid for the iPhone 13 Pro Max. This consequently means that the iPhone 14 Pro Max would cost $1,199.

    Design and Display

Due to the fact that the screen size of the iPhone 13 Pro Max is the same as the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the biggest difference is that there is no notch at the top of the screen.

Because the 14 Pro Max is slated to have the front-facing camera and Face ID sensors placed in a special design, you can expect a little more screen real estate to work with on this new upgraded iPhone.

While this is more of a camera upgrade than a design upgrade, the triple camera system does appear different on the iPhone 14 Pro Max as well.

The larger sense leads to a slightly larger camera layout. However, it doesn’t make the phone look bulky or heavy.

And finally, if you’re a passionate iPhone 13 Pro Max user, expect to enjoy the same adaptive refresh rate that your current phone has if you upgrade to the iPhone 14 Pro Max. This is a great feature for gamers or for those who watch lots of videos and movies on their iPhones.

The adaptive refresh rate allows the phone to constantly adjust to the content that’s playing on the screen. What this does is increase your user experience and help ensure that anything you view on your screen is the highest quality content available.

    Cameras

As mentioned, the iPhone 14 Pro Max will come with the same set of rear cameras with wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle, and telephoto lenses. Expect the big upgrade to be in the main camera.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max main camera has been upgraded to a whopping 48MP camera. This could spell the end of the 12MP sensors that appear in Pro Max Apple iPhones. That could usher in a new era of high-quality iPhone cameras and smartphone photography.

Coupled with a larger sensor, you can count on that new camera to deliver brighter images than current iPhones and also enable 8K video.

Regarding the ultra-wide angle and telephoto lenses of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, it doesn’t seem there’s going to be a massive upgrade from the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

There is a possibility that Apple could include new camera software features similar to the cinematic mode of the iPhone 13 lineup, though.

Overall, based on everything mentioned above, it seems that the new iPhone 14 Pro Max will be able to provide a better camera experience than the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

    Performance

All iPhone 14 Pro models this year are expected to be powered by a new A16 Bionic chipset which promises superior performance and more efficient power usage.

While it’s built using the same 5nm process as the A15 chip, there are talks of Apple adding another core to the A16's GPU. This could potentially give graphics performance a boost.

As for RAM, the iPhone 14 Pro Max gets an upgrade to 8GB of RAM. It’s also possible that the chipset could rely on faster LPDDR5 memory for increased performance as well.

    Battery Life and Charging

With the release of the iPhone 13 Pro Max, Apple increased the size of the battery to a 4,352 mAh cell. That helped position the iPhone 13 Pro Max as one of the best iPhones ever to exist in terms of battery power and battery life.

Now, realistically, it's highly unlikely that Apple will be able to include a battery that’s much bigger for the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

However, despite the lack of a massive battery upgrade, the inclusion of the A16 Bionic chipset and the 120Hz refresh rate could help improve the battery efficiency of the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

This means that the iPhone 14 Pro Max should be able to keep up with the iPhone 13 Pro Max or slightly surpass it in battery life.

Finally, there will be no inclusion of a USB-C port in the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max vs. iPhone 14 Plus

When it comes to the Pro Max and the Plus models, the differences are actually quite striking. While other Pro Max vs. Plus versions weren’t that different, with the iPhone 14 you actually seem to get a lot more for upgrading to the Pro Max.

For example, the iPhone 14 Pro Max comes with a triple camera, whereas the iPhone 14 Plus only comes with a dual camera. The screen is a massive upgrade too with the Pro Max version of the iPhone 14 boasting a 120Hz OLED vs. a 60Hz OLED with the iPhone 14 Plus.

Finally, storage options are amplified with the iPhone 14 Pro Max. You can opt for up to 1 TB of storage with this new iPhone along with other basic features such as an i-shaped notch and “always on” features.

iPhone 14 Pro Max vs. iPhone 14

Finally, what are the main differences between the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro Max? This is a common question we see every time Apple releases new models. Consumers often want to know whether they should opt for the basic model or splurge for the Pro Max.

While the decision to upgrade to a Pro Max ultimately comes down to your budget and the features you need out of a phone, we can say that in terms of purely specifications and features, the iPhone 14 Pro Max is pretty impressive.

However, if you don’t need some of the following features, then the iPhone 14 is still going to be a really spectacular phone.

    Design and Display

The big difference expected between the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Plus is the size. The iPhone 14 will probably have a 6.1-inch screen while the iPhone 14 Plus will have a larger 6.7-inch screen.

While the iPhone 14 Pro Max is expected to do away with the full notch and instead rely on a pill-shaped cutout for Face ID and the front-facing camera, it’s unclear if this is an update that you can expect to find in the basic iPhone 13 model.

In terms of the screen, you can expect the iPhone 14 to lack the adaptive refresh rate features that come with Pro Motion. However, a 60Hz refresh rate for a basic phone isn’t too shabby.

    Performance

Remember that the iPhone 14 is the only model of these new iPhones that will use the 2021 A15 Bionic chip. Both the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will rely on an updated A16 Bionic chipset to offer users superior processing and performance.

Likewise, the Pro and Pro Max seem to be the only iPhone 14s offering up to 8GB of RAM and a whopping 1TB of storage. If you only use your iPhone to browse the internet, send memes via social media, and take a few photos, it’s unlikely you’d need that speed or storage, though.

This was something users and experts debated with the iPhone 13. Think about how you use your phone and whether you truly need the upgraded features of the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

    Price

Based on the price lists of previous releases, the iPhone 14 is predicted to be priced at $799. That is the cheapest version available and would come with 128 GB of storage.

This means that the iPhone 14 Plus is predicted to cost just over $899. Both the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus could be very similar, most likely differing slightly in storage offerings.

Compared to the potential $1,199 price tag for the iPhone 14 Pro Max, however, $799 seems like quite a steal for the basic iPhone 14.

Remember that if you don’t use your phone for heavy computing, graphics-heavy games, or serious iPhone photography, the iPhone 14 is going to be a great option for you.

    iPhone 14 Phone Cases

How do you choose the best iPhone 14 Pro Max case?

First, consider the material. Some cases are made of plastic, while others are made of metal or silicone. Each material has its own advantages and disadvantages, so choose the one that best suits your needs.

Then, consider the level of protection you need. If you're looking for a basic case that will just provide some scratch protection, a simple plastic case will suffice. However, if you're looking for something that will protect your phone from drops and bumps, you'll need a more rugged case.

Finally, consider the style of the case. There are plenty of different designs to choose from, so find one that matches your personal taste. With these factors in mind, you'll be sure to find the perfect iPhone case for you.
